Outfit your New York lot, garage, or facility with durable, compliant parking signs. Start with the New York-specific handicap signs required here, then add the everyday signs every lot needs.
Built to meet New York requirements.
New York is one of the few states that requires the Dynamic Accessibility Symbol — the forward-leaning, "active" wheelchair icon — on accessible parking signage instead of the traditional static symbol. That makes New York accessible signs visually different from the standard federal sign.
Every accessible parking space must display the federal "Reserved Parking" sign (MUTCD R7-8) showing the International Symbol of Accessibility. Van-accessible spaces need an added "Van Accessible" plaque, and the bottom of each sign must sit at least 60 inches (5 feet) above the ground so it stays visible above a parked vehicle.
To tow an unauthorized vehicle from private property in New York, the lot must post a compliant tow-away sign at each entrance under New York General Business Law Section 399-v, typically including the towing company name and phone number. Missing or non-compliant signage can void the tow.
